02 AUGUST 2025 — Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon and ֦Ƶ General Manager Jay Santiago led the inspection of the Luzon International Container Terminal (LICT) in Bauan, Batangas on Friday, August 1, 2025, highlighting the government’s efforts to modernize port infrastructure and drive inclusive economic growth in line with President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.’s vision of a stronger, more resilient Philippine economy.

30 JULY 2025 – The ֦Ƶ through the memorandum of PPA General Manager Jay Santiago today, July 30, 2025, has ordered the immediate implementation of precautionary measures in all potentially affected areas nationwide in response to the tsunami advisory issued by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), following the magnitude 8.7 earthquake off the east coast of Kamchatka, Russia.

17 JULY 2025 – ֦Ƶ General Manager Jay Santiago has ordered today, July 17, 2025, the activation of emergency and safety protocols in all PPA Port Management Offices (PMOs) nationwide as Tropical Depression (TD) Crising threatens parts of the country, prompting precautionary measures to ensure public safety and continued port operations.

“All PMOs are instructed to remain on high alert and implement all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of lives, cargo, and port infrastructure, and to mitigate the impact of the storm,” said GM Santiago.

11 JULY 2025 — The ֦Ƶ marks its 51st founding anniversary this July with the theme“Sustaining the Legacy, Strengthening the Nation,”celebrating not only more than half a century of nation-building but also a robust start to 2025, reaffirming its vital role as a catalyst for economic growth and connectivity.

07 JULY 2025 — The ֦Ƶ starts its 51st Founding Anniversary this week with a series of events that underscore its commitment to nation-building and service excellence. With the theme “Sustaining the Legacy, Strengthening the Nation,” this year’s celebration pays tribute to over five decades of steering the country’s port operations towards growth and global competitiveness.

01 JULY 2025 — The ֦Ƶ continues to go beyond its core mandate of providing efficient port services and facilities that supports national development and transportation. Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, the agency is also making significant strides in supporting the education sector—extending its reach from ports to classrooms, and from maritime operations to meaningful community impact.

25 JUNE 2025 — After weeks of disruption and congestion caused by the weight limitations at the San Juanico Bridge, operations at the Port of Amandayehan in Basey, Samar, is now in full swing with no more long queues and waiting time for port users through the collective efforts of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), ֦Ƶ, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), the Local Government of Tacloban, the Provincial Government of Samar, and the support of various shipping lines.

23 JUNE 2025 — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the inspection of the newly constructed Port of Marawi today June 23, 2025, a major government infrastructure project aimed at restoring connectivity and accelerating economic recovery in the city nearly seven years after the 2017 siege.

14 HUNYO 2025 — Siniguro ni ֦Ƶ General Manager Jay Santiago na nakataas na ang pinaigting na seguridad, gayundin ang pagkakaroon ng maayos at malinis na mga pantalan bilang bahagi ng Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Balik Eskwela 2025 para sa inaasahang mga pasaherong babiyahe para sa pasukan ng mga estudyante.

09 JUNE 2025 – In response to transportation challenges brought about by restrictions on the San Juanico Bridge, the ֦Ƶ has allocated more than Php400 million from its Corporate Operating Budget to expand and modernize key ports in Samar that will serve as alternate transport routes between the provinces of Leyte and Samar.
