15 NOVEMBER 2024 — The ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ strongly urged the relocation of stranded passengers at ports due to the danger of storm surges brought about by Tropical Storm Pepito. Ìý

In a memorandum issued today, November 15, 2024, PPA General Manager Jay Santiago directed Port Management Offices (PMOs) to coordinate with local government units to promptly transfer stranded passengers to safer and more spacious evacuation centers. Ìý

12 NOVEMBER 2024 — President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. (PBBM) cited the efforts of the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ in modernizing port facilities and expanding cruise dedicated ports in support of the growing demand in the cruise tourism sector during his speech at the Seatrade Cruise Asia 2024 event in Pasay City, November 11, 2024.

10 NOVEMBER — The ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ, through its Port Management Office (PMO) Bohol, successfully facilitated the arrival of the TOUR DE CEBU 2024, a prestigious 1,000-kilometer motoring event showcasing vintage and sports cars. This year marks the eighth edition of the celebrated rally, which once again demonstrates the capability of Ro-Ro (Roll-on, Roll-off) ports to handle high-value and delicate cargo, including classic vehicles with precision and care.

08 NOVEMBER 2024 — This year the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ has reached a total of 1,104,650.90 kilograms of ocean waste collected since year 2016 up to the first half of 2024 with a record of more or less 100,000kg of ocean waste collected every year through consistent port and coastal clean-up activities.

05 NOVEMBER — Passenger traffic at seaports across the country during the Undas 2024 exodus was lower than anticipated. According to the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ, from October 28 to November 4, a total of 1,076,171 passengers passed through various ports across the country, compared to 1,544,313 passengers recorded during the same period last year.

04 NOBYEMBRE 2024 — Bago pa man ang inaasahang pagtama ng Tropical Storm Marce, maaga pa lamang ay nagpalabas na ng direktiba ang pamunuan ng ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ sa lahat ng mga port management offices (PMOs) nito sa buong bansa na ipatupad ang standard operating procedures tuwing mayroong sama ng panahon upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng mga pasahero at iba pang port user lalo na sa mga pantalan na naapektuhan ng nagdaang bagyong Kristine.

29 OKTUBRE 2024 — Nagpatupad na ang ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ ng full manpower bilang paghahanda sa inaasahang dagsa ng mga pasahero kasabay ng paggunita ng Undas 2024 kung saan tinatayang aabot sa 1,621,529 na mga pasahero ang uuwi sa kani-kanilang mga probinsya, mas mataas ng limang porsyento kumpara sa naitalang bilang ng mga pasahero noong nakaraang taon na umabot sa 1,544,313.

25 OKTUBRE 2024 — Bilang tugon sa epekto at pinsala na dulot ng pananalasa ng Tropical Storm Kristine, inatasan ng pamunuan ng ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ sa lahat ng mga port manager sa buong bansa na tiyaking mabigyan ng prayoridad ang power restoration team at lahat ng mga government delivery truck na papasok at lalabas ng mga pantalan.

23 OCTOBER 2024 — The ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ is partnering with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to improve disaster response by prepositioning ready-to-eat food packs at PPA managed ports nationwide. This initiative aims to assist stranded passengers during travel disruptions caused by extreme weather and other emergencies.

21 OCTOBER 2024 — ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ General Manager Jay Santiago issued a directive to all Port Management Offices (PMOs) in preparation for the impact of Tropical Depression Kristine and the anticipated increase in passenger volume for the upcoming Undas 2024 observance to ensure safety and efficiency during these critical periods.
