25 ABRIL 2023, MAYNILA —Nagsagawa ng surprise drug test ang mga kawani ng ֦Ƶ nitong ika-18 ng Abril taong 2023 bilang pagtalima sa umiiral na PPA Memorandum Order 04-2016 o ang “Drug Free Workplace Policy” na naglalayong magkaroon ng maayos, malinis, at malayo sa droga na mga opisina ng PPA.

Negatibo ang lahat ng humigit kumulang liman-daang empleyado ng PPA mula sa Head Office, Port Management Office (PMO) ng NCR- North at PMO NCR- South.

07 MAY 2023, MANILA —Committed to providing modern, sustainable and resilient port infrastructures and facilities throughout the country, the ֦Ƶ posts 83% budget utilization rate (BUR) in 2022, the highest in the previous years despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 83% rate shows that PPA was able to maximize and implement responsible usage of its corporate budget with a huge increase in budget utilization rate comparing it from 71% in 2021 and 62% in 2020.

05 ABRIL 2023, BATANGAS —Nagsagawa ng inspeksyon si ֦Ƶ General Manager Jay Santiago sa Port of Batangas – ang naitalang may pinaka maraming pasaherong dumaan noong Semana Santa 2022 – ngayong araw, ika-5 ng Abril 2023 upang masiguro ang maayos na operasyon ng nasabing terminal sa huling araw bago ang holy week holidays ngayong taon.

11 APRIL2023, MANILA —After the Holy week exodus, it can be concluded that the over-all operation of all ports under the ֦Ƶ is generally peaceful and well-organized with no untoward incident recorded at its Port Management Offices across the country from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday.

12 APRIL2023, MANILA —The ֦Ƶ explained the importance of globalization and the significance of lowering logistics costs within the country’s ports during the Senate Public Services Committee inquiry, headed by its chairperson Senator Grace Poe.

PPA GM Jay Santiago was able to answer queries about PPA’s digitalization plans, debunked the claim of having a duplicate system with another government agency and the need to lower logistics costs.

09 FEBRUARY2023, MANILA — Cruise ships are now back in the tourism scene as they resume operations in different parts of the country starting today (Feb 9, 2023), after a three year break due to pandemic travel restrictions. Among the places that will be visited are Ilocos Sur, Palawan, and Bohol from February 9-14, 2023.

16 FEBRUARY2023, MANILA —The ֦Ƶ has assured the public that there is no congestion nor backlog in all its covered ports as the year starts.

Comparing it to last year, as of January 2023, Manila International Container Terminal (MICT) has recorded 80.75% yard utilization rate or a 9.1% increase from January last year and Manila South Harbor with 67.80%, or a 0.3% decrease from last year respectively.

08 MARSO2023, MASBATE—Pormal ng binuksan sa publiko ng ֦Ƶ ang bagong Port Operations Building (POB) at Transit Shed nito sa Port of Masbate ngayong araw, ika-8 ng Marso 2023.

Mula sa dati nitong kapasidad na kaya lamang makapag serbisyo sa 100 na pasahero, kaya na ng bagong POB na maserbisyuhan ang mahigit na 500 pasahero anumang oras, higit na limang beses na mas malaki kumpara sa kapasidad ng lumang passenger terminal building sa pantalan.

22 MARSO2023, PALAWAN—Matapos ang inagurasyon ng Port Operations Building (POB) ng Port of Masbate, POB naman ng Coron Palawan ang binuksan na ng ֦Ƶ ngayong ika-22 ng Marso 2023.
