31 MARCH 2020—The Philippine Ports Authority(PPA) gladly received some 1,500 pieces of face masksfrom the AboitizFoundation to arm its frontline personnel with the much-needed personal protective equipment (PPE). According to PPA General Manager Jay Daniel R. Santiago, the donation camein handy as the port’s frontline personnel remainsbusy ensuring the smooth flow of cargoes, essential and otherwise, into the local and international supply chain. Santiago said the entire PPA community greatly appreciates such concernfromthe former shipping magnate as the entire country marches on with its fight against the deadly CoronavirusDisease 2019 (COVID-19). PPA Acting Department Manager for Administrative Services Department Eric E. Dimaculangan (right)and Executive Assistant to the GM Kelvin V. Angeles received the donation. PPA is expected to complete the distribution of the face mask to PPA frontline personnel nationwide soonest.
